A trio of craft workshops with a festive theme at Flowerfield

FLOWERFIELD Arts Centre is hosting a one day workshop this Saturday with a Christmas theme as the festive season approaches – offering participants the chance to make their own Christmas jewellery, or gifts for loved ones.

Popular tutor Catherine Keenan returns on Saturday December 15 from 10am to 4pm with a glass beadmaking workshop. This offers an ideal opportunity to make a Christmas gift for yourself or for someone you love, the class will take students through the basics, then show them how to develop a glass bead and finally give them the chance to make an identical pair of beads that can later be used as earrings.

Catherine will give the students clear instructions on how the beads can be assembled to make earrings. The fee for the workshop is £45, which includes all materials costs. As above, students should bring a packed lunch, a bottle of water and something to tie their hair back with, if it is long.
