Actor missing home Down Under

COLERAINE actor James Nesbitt has decorated his trailer on the set of The Hobbit with pictures of Northern Ireland to help his home sickness.

The father-of-two has moved to New Zealand to play dwarf Bofur in Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings prequel for what he joked felt like “25 years”, and showed off his trailer in the latest blog posted on Jackson’s Facebook page.

James said: “I’ve decorated the trailer with things that remind me of home - villages and the seaside in Northern Ireland where I am from, my horse Riverside Theatre.”

Other pictures show one of his daughters holding a pet dog and there are streamers hanging from the roof of the trailer.

The blog features other stars of The Hobbit, including Billy Connolly, Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom.
