Ad Hoc all set for ‘The Scottish Play’ - with a difference

Cullybackey-based Ad Hoc Theatre Company bring their hilarious farce of a group of women trying to put on Macbeth for their own Drama Finals to Ballymena for two nights only.

The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of Macbeth may be a mouthful but it gives a fair idea of the play AdHoc are going to put on that night.

After months of painstaking rehearsals, the Farndale ladies are ready to put on the Scottish Play.

Even they are hard put to overcome the mishaps that occur before, during, and after the performance.

Members of the cast, lost and injured, cannot stop the show from going on!

The Farndale Macbeth is a highly inventive production, guaranteed to provide an evening of laughter. It has already been preformed in Newtownabbey to large and enthusiastic audiences.

So join us for the last hurrah of Ad Hoc founder Bob Margrain, who is retiring after the last performance of this play in Ballymena on 6th September, after more than 20 years of giving a sense of purpose to many locals in the mid-Antrim area who have cut their teeth on the stage, thanks to Bob and his wife Elza.

Dates: Thursday 5th September, Friday 6th September. Venue: Braid Theatre, Ballymena. Tickets: £7 and £5 (conc)
