Agency offering grants for Foyle tourism and angling schemes

THE Loughs Agency is offering small grants for projects that will support sustainable development of marine tourism or angling in the Foyle or Carlingford areas.

The money is being made available through its Sustainable Development Fund (SDF).

Funding of up to £1,000 (or euro equivalent) at up to 75 per cent is available to support events that benefit the Foyle or Carlingford areas and which have a marine tourism and/or angling focus.

Funding of up to £7,500 (or euro equivalent) at up to 75 per cent support is offered for a range of themes - access and other infrastructure for marine tourism and angling; development of marine tourism and angling product; accommodation enhancement (drying rooms, prepare your catch facility etc); and, training that develops and enhances marine tourism and angling capacity.

An information session will be held in the Loughs Agency at 7.30pm on February 13 at the Loughs Agency, Victoria Road.
