Air Ambulance raffle for car

On April 24, one lucky person will win a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R and have helped raised funds for Northern Ireland’s Air Ambulance.
This 2016 Volkswagen Golf R has been secured by the Ballymoney Osborne family, whose son Simon needed the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service team in 2019 and since then have been passionate fundraisers of Air Ambulance NI. Having missed their usual fundraising events due to Covid-19, the family came up with the idea of a charity car competition. Almost 80 key donors have covered the full cost of the car and ticket entries will benefit the charity. Entry to the competition is now available at www.cmcompetitionsni.co.uk with each ticket costing £15. Simon Osborne, who was a patient of the Air Ambulance following a serious road traffic collision in 2019, said: “So far over 400 tickets have been sold and we are encouraging everyone who can to buy yours now.

“Every ticket will benefit the Air Ambulance NI charity and help save lives. The medical team respond to critically ill and injured people on average twice a day. All support will ensure the service is sustained now and for the future.

“Someone made a donation to ensure it was there for me, together we can ensure it is there for the next patients.”
