Following their very successful performance in Italy last autumn as reported in the local press, Tony Bareham, Des Cranston and Jeremy Lewis will be reading selections from the poetry of Lord Byron.

The poems selected range from tender lyricism, through the amazing world’s-end vision of ‘Darknesss’, to Canto One of Don Juan - the funniest bedroom farce in all English poetry. There is truly something for everybody in this bill of fare.

They will be joined by local singers Sally Andrew and Ken Ward, and the musical settings for Byron’s lyrics they will perform are all entirely new ones composed by Bill Rodgers.

The show follows the format of the very popular ‘Evening with Charles Lever’ that Tony devised for the Riverside Theatre for Lever’s bi-centennial anniversary, and promises another unique and memorable evening of music and verse.
