She has reached the UK & Ireland Final of the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious competition, the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2015, in the Color Category following her success at the Irish Heat on Monday, August 24.

Aoife is now one of only 12 Irish hairdressers to reach this year’s UK & Ireland Final, making her one of the country’s most sought-after and in-demand professional hair colourists.

Created to discover and acknowledge the industry’s most skilled hair stylists and colourists, the competition focuses on all aspects of hair styling and colouring, and the Photographic and Irish Heats are judged by some of the UK’s leading hair icons, including Darren Ambrose, Caroline Spencer, Jayson Gray and Nicky Clarke.

Each year, Wella Professionals produces key trend looks that are designed to inspire the competition. The Young Talent Category is open to stylists under 30 years old to showcase their styling, technical and finishing skills, whilst the Color Vision Category gives colourists of any age the opportunity to express their creativity and put their colouring skills to the test.

This year the trend movements are The Journey of Enlightenment and The New Frontier, entrants are asked to interpret one of the trends with their own personal style.

This annual four stage competition kicked off earlier this year with a Photographic Entry and Aoife’s interpretation of Journey of Enlightenment took her through to the Irish Heat where she showcased her chosen trend on a live model in a dazzling evening show.

“I’m so proud to have reached the UK & Ireland Final of such a prestigious competition. I’ve always had a huge passion for hair and I am very excited about taking part and competing against the best hairdressers in the country at the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final in October,” Aoife said.

Now, Aoife will have time to prepare for the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award UK & Ireland Final, one of the industry’s biggest and most inspirational events.

Taking place on October 5 at the Roundhouse in London’s Camden competitors will present in front of hundreds and be judged by the best in the industry for the opportunity to walk away with the ultimate accolade in hairdressing.

Should Aoife be successful at the UK & Ireland Final, she will benefit from a dedicated mentoring programme which will then see her taking part during the International TrendVision Award, due to take place in Berlin in November.
