Arthur Smith added to festival line up

Stendhal festival of Art has added to its musical line-up for this year’s arts extravaganza which takes place at Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, on August 8 and 9.

Having already announced that heralded acts such as Frightened Rabbit, The Undertones, Paddy Casey, Bronagh Gallagher and Duke Special have signed on to play in the Roe Valley this Summer, organisers are delighted to announce several more excellent additions to the line-up including Bell X1’s David Geraghty who will be performing with his personal project Join me in the Pines, The Wonder Villains, Rachel Sermanni, Mark Geary, Callum Stewart, Dimebag Dj’s, Amanda St. John, Conor Scott, Sal Hanvey and as part of the Antidote Emcee Showcase; Rí-Rá, Jun Tzu and human beat box Cull.

Headlining the comedy showcase at the festival this year will be none other than Arthur Smith, one of the pioneers of the alternative comedy movement in the 1980s.

Stendhal organiser Ross Parkhill said: “It has been a very tough process in selecting our line-up this year as we had so many brilliant submissions.

“However we are absolutely delighted with these additions to the line-up, there is so much talent on show that it will be difficult for people to decide who to see, but that is what a festival is all about.

“We are also delighted to be welcoming the internationally acclaimed stand-up Arthur Smith to the farm this year. He will no doubt be his side splittingly funny self in what will be his first ever gig in Limavady.”
