Autumn courses at Ballymoney Town Hall

If you are thinking about taking up a new hobby this autumn, why not enrol in one of Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee’s new courses.

There are a number of courses for adults - Creative Writing with tutor Teresa Godfrey on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm in Ballymoney Town Hall, Painting with Freda McKeown on Wednesdays from 10.30am to12.30pm in Ballymoney Social Centre and from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Town Hall and Calligraphy with Betty Ward on Mondays from 2 to 4pm in the Social Centre.

Both Creative Writing and Painting start week beginning 19 September and Calligraphy starts week beginning 26 September. All courses run for 10 weeks and the cost is £45, concessions £35.

There are also two one-day Calligraphy workshops on Saturday 5 and Saturday 19 November from 10am-5pm in the Town Hall costing £15.

For children, there are Drama and Dance courses with tutor Eimear Hughes on Mondays for 8-11 year olds and on Tuesdays for 5-7 year olds. These take place from 4pm to 5.3pm for 10 weeks in the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre and the cost is £30.

While venues for courses vary, all bookings must be made at Ballymoney Town Hall. If you would like further information, please ring 028 2766 0230. Enrolment for all courses takes place on Tuesday 6 September from 7pm to 9pm in the Town Hall. After that date you can ring to book your place or call in at the Town Hall which is open Monday to Thursday and Saturday 9am-5pm and on Friday 9am-4.30pm.
