Autumn courses at Town Hall

If you are thinking about taking up a new hobby this autumn, there are still some places available on Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee’s new programme of courses.

For adults, there is Creative Writing with tutor Teresa Godfrey on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm in Ballymoney Town Hall, Painting with Freda McKeown on Wednesdays from 10.30am to12.30pm in Ballymoney Social Centre and from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Town Hall and Calligraphy with Betty Ward on Mondays from 2 to 4pm in the Social Centre. Both Creative Writing and Painting start week beginning 19 September and Calligraphy starts week beginning 26 September. All courses run for 10 weeks and the cost is £45, concessions £35.

There are also two one-day Calligraphy workshops on Saturday 5 and Saturday 19 November from 10am-5pm in the Town Hall costing £15.

For children, there are still some places on the Drama and Dance course for 8-11 year olds with tutor Eimear Hughes. This takes place on Mondays from 4pm to 5.3pm beginning 19 September for 10 weeks in the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre and the cost is £30.

While venues for courses vary, all bookings must be made at Ballymoney Town Hall. If you would like further information or to book a place, please ring 028 2766 0230 or call in at the Town Hall which is open Monday to Thursday and Saturday 9am-5pm and on Friday 9am-4.30pm.
