BBC Radio Ulster is back in town!

FLOWERFIELD Arts Centre is poised to welcome an exciting array of roots music talent on Wednesday March 27 at 8pm as BBC Radio Ulster returns for another live outside broadcast of the Ralph McLean show.

Already confirmed for the line-up are Gareth Dunlop, Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas, Anthony Toner and Malojian, with other exciting acts still to be confirmed as we went to press.

This will be the third consecutive year that Ralph and BBC Radio Ulster have presented his show live from Coleraine Borough Council’s award-winning arts facility.

On the 27th, the talent will be somewhat more homegrown: Gareth Dunlop has developed a huge following in a short time with strong soul-filled songs delivered with an unmistakeable vocal delivery. Coleraine-born Anthony Toner is likewise one of Northern Ireland’s favourite songwriters, celebrating the release of his brand new fifth album, Sing Under the Bridges.

Malojian continues to promote the remarkable The Deer’s Cry album, which has been attracting all kinds of wonderful reviews. And Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas need little introduction – the band has been bowling over live audiences all over the place with Paddy’s fun-filled songs and rousing delivery.

With other artists yet to be confirmed, Ralph is already excited at the prospects for yet another memorable evening at Flowerfield, with the show going out live from 8pm to Ralph’s worldwide audience of music fans.

“In terms of atmosphere and sound quality, Flowerfield is one of our favourite places to bring the outside broadcast team. We’ve had some of our best live shows there, and we’re hugely looking forward to being back,” said Ralph.

Tickets for this intimate event are free, but are allocated on a first come, first served basis, offered to a maximum of two per caller. If you’d like tickets, get in touch with the reception staff on (028) 7083 1400.
