Management of Bureau By The Lough will be hoping to take the overall titles in the categories at the annual national gala awards in Belfast City Hall next Wednesday, November 14.

And to top it off, the venue has also just been shortlisted as ‘Best Food Venue’ in Newtownabbey Borough Council’s annual Business Awards, with the overall winner to be announced tomorrow (Friday).

Dana Curran of Bureau By The Lough said: “2012 has been a landmark year for us.

“Against the huge pressures facing the pub and wider hospitality sector, we celebrated our 10th birthday and invested a further £250,000 to refurbish and enhance the entire premises.

“For us, it’s all about investing in our customers to provide them with the best facilities, service and value for money possible. Winning these awards is a terrific vindication of our efforts and we are very proud and encouraged by the recognition.

“Thanks to our customers for their support and our team for all their hard work.”

Pubs of Ulster is the professional body for the licensed trade in Northern Ireland and its annual Pub Of The Year Awards is designed to recognise and reward the excellence that exists in the local industry.

The regional winners were selected following an extensive judging process which included written submissions and independent mystery shoppers.
