Castlerock ‘Walk Fest’ takes place this Saturday

Get your walking boots on this weekend for a special event in Castlerock.

Castlerock Community Association in partnership with the National Trust and Translink invite you to ‘Walk Fest’!

This Saturday why not take part in a series of guided walks around the Castlerock area.

All the walks take place this Saturday, September 14 and there’s plenty to choose from.

Hill walks: Binevenagh or Gortmor - both walks will depart at 10am from the Peter Thompson Hall and will last four to five hours.

Walk and talk: departing at 11am these walks will last two to three hours and will take the themes of the local environment and local history.

The family walk commences at 2.30 and will be led by Council’s Biodiversity Officer, Rachel Bain.

There’s also a chance to try out nordic walking from 11.30 to 2.30 and for novice walkers why not try the gentle journey starting at 2.30 with an experienced guide. Registration will take place this Saturday from 9am at the Peter Thompson Hall.
