Catrina's concert helps raises over £1,000

Ballymena-born Catrina Scullion, recently returned to her home town to perform in a special Christmas charity concert to help raise funds and awareness for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland.

Ms Scullion is a Classical Soprano and showcased her vocal talents with a range of pieces and was supported by the Seven Towers Male Voice Choir on the night.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland Regional Fundraiser Naomi Breen, said: “Catrina and her family have first-hand experience of diabetes and how serious the condition is and that is why Catrina made this special show happen.

“In memory of her uncle, who sadly passed away with diabetes-related complications, Catrina put on a fantastic show and raised £1,433 for the charity.

“I would like to thank Catrina for all her hard work and commitment to raising awareness about diabetes and for everyone who attended the event supporting Diabetes UK Northern Ireland through ticket sales and a raffle on the night.

“A special thanks should go to the Seven Towers Male Voice Choir who also performed brilliantly.”
