CCGHT ‘Northword’ Project Storytelling Workshops

Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust and Ulster University have launched a scheme called the European Regional Development Funded Northword Project.

This exciting new project will harness the power of stories to support creative industries in the Causeway Coast and Glens and Mid and East Antrim areas.

They want to hear stories that celebrate natural, industrial or cultural heritage and help contributors write their stories. Sound good? Then come along to one of their free, virtual Zoom, workshops facilitated by celebrated local storyteller Liz Weir MBE.

All sorts of stories are welcome, from folklore and fishing, to tales of our industrial heritage and landscapes. Log on to one of three workshops to hear more and have a bit of craic.

Workshops are on:

Thursday, November 26 from 7pm to 8.30pm

Tuesday, December 1, from 7pm to 8.30pm

Wednesday, December 9 from 7pm to 8.30pm

Anyone wishing to attend a workshop can register via the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust Facebook page (see events) or contact [email protected].

Northword, a transnational project part-funded through the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme, is seeking to gather stories which reflect the unique cultural heritage of the region.

These stories will help inspire the development of new creative products with local businesses over the next two years. For more information on the project, how to get involved or how to submit a story please visit northwordni.org.
