Charity barbecue benefits school

RODDENSVALE School will benefit to the sum of £828 as a result of a highly successful charity barbecue organised by the Ballynure Vintage Tractor Ploughing Society recently on the grounds of Ian McKee and Family at Shore Road, Glynn.

Chairman Allen McAnally expressed thanks to the McKee family for hosting the event; Jackson’s Butchery supplying the food; Ronnie Magowan for entertaining everyone on his accordion; as well as members, friends and supporters who supplied the various salads and anyone who helped in any way to make the event a success.

Details have also been unveiled of Ballynure Vintage Tractor Ploughing Society’s seventh annual match, to be held on Saturday, August 18 on the lands of Mr and Mrs Stanley Hall, Castle Road, Ballynure.
