Christmas Carolling at Gloonan House

In the week before Christmas people at Clanmil Housing Association’s Gloonan House Independent Living scheme in Ahoghill were joined by kids from two local primary schools for some festive carolling.

St. Paul’s Primary School choir and Fourtown’s Primary School choir and orchestra visited Gloonan House to spread some Christmas cheer,singing an array of Christmas carols in the lead up to the holidays.

Everyone at the scheme, both tenants and staff, thoroughly enjoyed the visits which helped everyone get into the spirit of Christmas.

Mina White, a tenant at Gloonan House, who went along to the carol mornings and really enjoyed the festive cheer said:

“It was lovely to hear all of the songs and carols that the children sang. It’s got us into the Christmas spirit and brought a true festive mood to Gloonan House.”

Clanmil’s community development manager, Tim O’Malley spoke about how wonderful it was to see different groups coming together. He said: “We are delighted that two local schools came along to perform for our tenants at Gloonan House. It is wonderful to see the different age groups from within the local community coming together to enjoy each other’s company, especially at Christmas.”
