Ballinlea L.O.L.1511 is holding it’s Annual Barbeque and Dance on Friday 8 July 2011 at Ballinlea Orange Hall.

Tickets are £10 and are available from Lodge members or by phoning 07759142109. Food is served from 8.30 -9.30 and dancing afterwards to The Pinewood Six.

Bus trip

KILLYRAMMER and District Community Association are running a bus trip to Bangor on Saturday, July 9.

The bus will leave Killyrammer at 9am sharp and return at approximately 6.30pm. Adults cost £8, children cost £4 and under 5’s travel free. To book a seat contact Tracey on 2766 5042/ 2766 6965. Everyone will be made very welcome.

Royal wedding party thanks

Sir - Since thanks are expressed to those who attended and donated to the Royal Wedding Charity Fundraiser which was held in Magherone Barn on Friday, April 29.

The organisers are pleased to report that £700 has been forwarded to the British Red Cross Society to be used for their vital work in Japan after the Earthquakes.

Thank you to all who supported and donated so generously, Albert, Bob, Hall and Sam.

Car home fun day

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s inaugural fun day at Garvagh Care Home, volunteers and staff are again organising a day of music, fun and games at Garvagh Care Home, Kilrea Road, Garvagh, to raise funds for the residents’ activities fund.

The funds from last year’s fun day have significantly improved the quality of life for the home’s residents as it has been made it possible to provide art materials, music workshops and even a Nintendo Wii. There will once again be carnival games, barbecue, live music, cake stalls, lucky dip and a prize raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, staff and residents’ relatives.

The fun starts at 11am on Saturday 2nd July and goes on until 3pm. Admission for adults is £1 and for children 50p.

Dunaghy lotto

Dunaghy Flute Band weekly lotto numbers drawn on Friday, 24th June 2011 were 22, 24 and 29.

There was no winners so next weeks jackpot will be £375.00.

Tickets for the weekly lotto draw are available from any band member.
