College pupil on '˜Olympic journey' to London
Carrickfergus College year 13 pupil Jordan Lennon (pictured) heads to London this week with seven pupils from the school's junior classes having won the trip as a prize in June.
The ‘Health Hub’ in Carrickfergus was one of over 200 entrants in a competition which involved the pupils planning two Olympic-themed events for the community and thanks have been extended to the Health Hub’s Adam Hamiton for his input.
The pupils, who headed off on September 13, will have to set up a station in London’s Olympic park and explain their event and its success to others.
