Comedy treat

A PRE-CHRISTMAS treat is about to hit Lisburn, as HaHaHague’s presents ‘Morgan Hearst: Failed Human’ on December 2.

‘Failed Human’ was one of the highlights of October’s Belfast Fringe Festival, and received much acclaim.

Morgan Hearst is a stand-up very much on the rise, recently supporting none other than Colin Murphy. Morgan previously performed a fantastic short set at the August gig, and the organisers are delighted to have him back headlining in December.

Not only will the show feature such a wonderful headliner, but there is also a stellar line-up of support acts.

Newry man Darren Matthews is relatively new to the stand-up scene, but has already established himself as one of the most solid acts on the circuit. Formerly MC for the sadly departed Laughter Session in his hometown, Darren’s tales of small-town life and the culture shock of moving to Belfast, combined with his natural charisma, make him a joy to behold.

Lauren Kerr is the reigning champion of the Belfast Fringe Festival’s Open Mic Competition. Despite her tender age of twenty, Lauren’s whimsical nature and undoubted charm saw her support English comedienne and Mock The Week panellist Lucy Porter earlier this year. Most certainly not to be missed.

Gary Croft is an established fixture on the local circuit. Originally from Glasgow, but now residing in Belfast, Gary is a favourite among the comedians. Having had audiences in stitches up and down the country, HaHaHague’s is very pleased him to have him on the bill.

Lisburn man Alan Irwin is a former winner of Dublin’s Battle of the Axe competition, and recently made a successful debut in the prestigious Empire Comedy Club in Belfast. He’ll be making his return to HaHaHague’s following a previous spot as MC in August.

Finally, as ever, the MC for the evening will be Adam Laughlin. Manic, animated, and most importantly hilarious, Adam will be doing his best to keep order during the evening’s proceedings, while keeping the audience in fits along the way.

Admission is just £4, which makes the night ideal for a pre-Christmas knee-ups. Doors are at 8, and the show starts at 9pm, so get down early to get yourself a seat. With such a stellar line-up, this one is unmissable.
