Comic Roy all set for Riverside show

Roy will be on stage to entertain his Coleraine audience on Saturday, September 22 at the Riverside Theatre.

Roy’s career shot off back in 1977 when he won a talent show called ‘New Faces’.

After that he appeared in many tv programmes including ‘Seaside Special, ‘Blackpool Bonanza’, but he is most famous for the game show ‘Catchphrase’, co-hosted by his computer character friend Mr Chips.

Walker coined his own catchphrases for the show: “Say what you see”, and “It’s good, but it’s not right”.

Most recently Roy has found fame through BBC Radio One’s breakfast show.

With the Riverside autumn season in full flow there really is something for everyone. The Dominic Graham School of Irish Dance will be bringing their new production ‘Historia’ to the University of Ulster theatre from today, Wednesday 12 to this Saturday, September 15.

Next Tuesday, September 18 the Indigo Moon Theatre Company will be appearing as part of a Northern Ireland tour of its latest production for children, Alice and the White Rabbit.

Join Alice on her magical adventure as she chases the White Rabbit back in time, on a fantastic spiralling journey into Wonderland.

Later this month, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 25 and 26 Oscar Wilde’s theatrical masterpiece, The Importance of Being Earnest is set to enthrall local audiences.
