Cookstown Dungannon camera club launch exhibition

Dungannon Cookstown Camera Club held a very successful launch of their annual exhibition last week in Ranfurly House Arts and Visitor Centre.

The event was opened by The Lord Mayor Roger Burton. He praised the club members for the wonderful display of photographs on display.

The Exhibition was judged by Award Winning Photographer Stanley Matchett MBE. Stanley has been at the pinnacle of the photographic profession for more than forty years.

During an outstanding career he has photographed British Prime Ministers,five American Presidents as well as Northern Irish Government Ministers.Stanley was very impressed by the high standard of images on display in Dungannon which made it very difficult to select the winning images.The Top Print was won by Stephen Donnelly who received the Brian Hughes Memorial trophy.

Christine Magowan Arts Officer Dungannon Borough Council said “We are delighted to host this Inspiring exhibition which runs until the end of July in the wonderful surroundings of the Ranfurly House Arts and Visitor Centre for the third year and we invite the public to come along and view the splendid range of images.”
