Country Festival at Bushtown

And this reputation will certainly be enhanced later in the month when the most ambitious Country Festival to date will be staged at the luxurious north-west venue.

Having already played host to some of the most popular names on the Irish country music circuit, the Bushtown has landed a major coup by securing Mike Denver and his band as the major attraction there on Monday August 29th with the hugely popular Gerry Guthrie and his band taking to the stage on the previous night, Sunday 28th.

It’s a two-day festival bonanza that has already whetted the appetites of country dancers from far and wide and given the success of recent similar events at the Bushtown, the expectation is that the ‘house full’ notice will be up again this time round.

“We are looking forward very much to playing at the Bushtown festival. We certainly expect that there will be a terrific atmosphere and hopefully this will prove a big focal point for all our followers over what promises to be a very exciting Bank Holiday week-end,” says Mike.

And just as Mike’s loyal fans will flock to the festival, so too will the growing number of enthusiasts who believe that Gerry Guthrie is one of the most exciting talents to have emerged on the scene in the past year.

Along with his multi-talented band, Gerry has been creating great excitement everywhere he performs and he is poised to lend an extra dimension of excitement, sparkle and professionalism to the Bushtown festival.
