Cullybackey Womens Institute held their Annual General Meeting. In the absence of President Eileen Wylie, Vice President Ruth Orr welcomed everyone.

Executive Member Sophia Maybin presided assisted by Margaret Logan and Janet Gaston.

The new Committee was elected with Mary Cruikshank being elected President. Due to Eileen not being in attendance, Rosemary Kennedy conveyed thanks to the outgoing Committee for their hard work and paid tribute to Eileen for the tireless, inspiring and friendly way in which she carried out her role as President for the past two years.

Congratulations were expressed to Ruth Calderwood, one of their honorary members, on the occasion of her 90th Birthday.

The new committee have arranged an interesting programme for the incoming session and Members are looking forward to a year of varied activities including outings, talks, and craft demonstrations and at the end of the meetings a lovely supper. New Members will be made very welcome.
