Culmore House and farm walk

Ballymoney Borough Council in association with the Bank of Ireland is pleased to announce the fourth walk in this summer’s Countryside Walks Programme on Monday, July 4.

Situated on the banks of the River Bann, this 2-3 mile walk offers an opportunity to explore alternative farming practices on a farm that is actively involved in organic milk production.

The landowner and well-known farmer, David Laughlin, will lead the walk and participant’s will have the opportunity to see at first hand the development of the farm and its grounds over recent years since the last visit to the site in 2007, including the significant woodland development.

The event will conclude with light refreshments. Suitable for most walkers, walking boots or “wellies” recommended for laneways and fields. The walk costs £2 per person with a family concession of £5. Participants can meet at 6.30pm at Townhead Street Car Park or alternatively at 7.00pm at the entrance to Culmore House, Bann Road, Kilrea.
