Earlier this month, its ever growing membership celebrated the tenth Anniversary of the Club’s formation with a dinner in Ballyclare Golf Club and marked the occasion by presenting a gift to founder member and outgoing Club Secretary, David Hoy.

Since its formation, the membership has grown to almost 50 and the members have clocked up over 750,000 miles, including Club rides from Mizen Head to Malin Head and from London to Paris, and participation in the Gran Fondo events in 2015 and 2016.

Club Chairman, Stephen Dunn, said: “David Hoy has been Secretary of Kilbride Cyclists since its formation and has played a huge part, not only in the club’s growth, but also in its emphasis on raising funds for charity. During the 10 years the Club has raised over £40,000 for local and international charities, primarily through an annual 50 mile Charity Ride through the Antrim hills which has attracted cyclists from across Northern Ireland. We are grateful to David for all the support he has given to the Club and its members.”

Kilbride Cyclists are open to new members, whether beginners or experienced cyclists.
