Davitts Country Band can hit right note at Tullyglass

The Davitts Country Band will be the big attraction at the Tullyglass House Hotel, Ballymena on Saturday night.

In recent months this talented seven-piece outfit which boasts an impressive brass section have been making a huge impact everywhere they have appeared.

It was the success of their debut single ‘Marlena’ that initially hoisted the band into the spotlight and they have not looked back since then.

And their growing popularity was cemented just recently when they were presented with the prestigious ‘Rising Stars’ award at the Irish Farmers Journal - Irish Country Sound awards extravaganza at the Armagh City Hotel.

Lead singer Joe Davitt, thrilled to see the band honoured in this way, believes they can now build on the progress they have made.

“We have only been on the road for a comparatively short time but we are enjoying the lifestyle immensely,” Joe said.

He added: “While we are very happy with what we achieved in 2014, we are setting higher goals for ourselves in 2015 and hopefully we will attain those.”

Not only have the band already made their mark in Ireland but they have been creating an impression in England too. Only recently they undertook a successful tour there and will be going back shortly.

The band will release a new CD shortly and this will encompass many of the numbers which they currently feature in their dancing programme.

But patrons of the Tullyglass House Hotel, Ballymena will in the meantime be able to enjoy a musical treat which will be laid on for them in considerable style on Saturday night.
