Dunaghy flute band thanks following annual parade

THE committee and members of Dunaghy flute band would like to express their appreciation to everyone who made their annual parade, on Wednesday 18 July 2012, such a success.

A spokesperson for the band said the parade had lived up to expectations and he wanted to thank all who supported it despite the poor weather conditions on the evening itself..

The band thanks was extended to ithe Vow Accordion band for leading the parade, all the participating bands who came from all over Northern Ireland, the general public whose support was greatly appreciated, Skullduggery, who provided much listened to music on the night, the ‘B’ Special Historical Platoon, all the cartoon characters, face painters, collectors, marshals, the local businesses and the PSNI for their help with traffic management.

The street collection on the evening amounted to £3200 which has gone towards band funds.
