EUROSPAR Cullybackey encouraging sweet charity this Mother’s Day

IN the run up to Mother’s Day, EUROSPAR Cullybackey will be encouraging customers to think differently with their gifts this year and encouraging them to bake from the heart for mum with the help of the NI Cancer Fund for Children’s Hug in a Mug Recipe Book.

Packed full of baking ideas from chocolate brownies to blueberry cheesecake, the recipe book holds every inspirational idea for budding bakers to don their aprons and get creative in the kitchen just in time for Mother’s Day.

Each recipe in the book has been lovingly donated by supporters of the charity, TV personalities, sports stars and even young people who are going through cancer treatment and availing of essential services that the charity offers.

Laura McClean, store manager of the Cullybackey EUROSPAR, says; “We are delighted to be able to fundraise for such a worthy charity. In the run up to Mother’s Day and all this week, our staff will play dress up and we will be hosting coffee mornings to raise even more money, with special home baked treats to be served up from recipes within the Hug in a Mug Recipe Book.

“The book itself is only £5, with every penny donated straight to NICFC, and is a source of great inspiration to bake up something sweet this Mother’s Day for afternoon tea, or a tasty dessert for after the Sunday roast!”

NICFC Corporate Fundraiser, Sorcha Chipperfield who spoke on behalf of the charity; “Having the EUROSPAR supermarkets involved in fundraising for NICFC is a huge boost. Already the supermarkets across Northern Ireland have raised an incredible £170,000 which massively surpasses the two year target already!

“The book is fabulous inspiration for Mother’s Day treats, we’re so grateful to all who have donated recipes and those who have already bought it!”
