Exhibition puts focus on local landmarks

AN ongoing exhibition at Carrickfergus Civic Centre has used photos and paintings to capture life in the town over the past year.

The Carrick Diary exhibition by local designer and artist Derek Bell uses photographic montages, manipulated with computer software, to give a new look to well-known landmarks in the area.

The work includes paintings inspired by the locality from the Bowling Club to the promenade, and aims to entertain visitors with views of the artist’s childhood home.

The exhibition run until September 7 in the Civic Centre. Admission is free.
