Fair draw success

The Marie Curie Cancer Care Moyle and District Support Group held a raffle this Lammas Fair to raise funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Foundation.

The tickets went on sale at £1 per ticket. The ticket draw took place last Tuesday (August 28) at 7.30pm in Ann Street Ballycastle to a great turn out.

In total 10.000 tickets where printed and upwards of 8,800 where sold, which means that the community raised a total in excess of £8.800 for the Foundation. And what’s more money is stil coming in and surplus donations could bring the amount into £9,000 and upwards.

Prizes came in the form of cash, which was bing sponsored by Bailey Waste, Jamion Potatoes and John McCambridge.

1st place, winning £1,000 was Betty McClements, 2nd place, winning £500 was Wily Graham, 3rd place, winning £250 was Martin Mcateer and 4th place, winning £100 was James Mooney.
