Fourteen dogs are currently awaiting adoption at the Ballymena rehoming centre, located at 60 Teeshan Road.
They include Olly, Molly, and Zebedee who are “underdogs” – dogs that have been in the charity’s care for over six months.

5. Zebedee
Lively Spaniel Zebedee is looking for his special family. He needs someone committed to working with him alongside Dogs Trust's Training and Behaviour team, in order to give him the best chance of success in a home. His home environment must be adult only, and free of other pets. He would be able to have some dog walking pals though. Zebedee will need to be visited multiple times at the centre before heading to his new home. Photo: Dogs Trust Ballymena

6. Olly
Border Collie cross Olly is a fantastic dog with so much love for people and a big zest for life. He is energetic, sweet natured and very loving. With some dedicated and patient owners, Olly will make an amazing companion to his special someone. Olly would like to live in an adult only home and he will need to live in a quiet, rural location with adopters who are able to be at home most of the day at the start until leaving time can be built up. As Olly is focusing hard on his "settling" he would be best suited as the only dog in the home. Sometimes he does enjoy saying hello to other calm, friendly dogs when out and about but quieter walking areas are much less stressful for him. Olly has some behaviour quirks that he will need to work on with his adopters and the Centre Training Team, so his new family will need to be ready and dedicated to this process. He will need a secure outdoor space to enjoy some playtime and mental stimulation when at home. He loves to sniff and explore, so a garden and daily walks will be amazing for Olly! 7. Malbec, Cava, Chardonnay, Chianti, Merlot, Prosecco and Pinot
Gorgeous pups Malbec, Cava, Chardonnay, Chianti, Merlot, Prosecco and Pinot are 10 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes! They are looking for families who will support them through all stages of puppyhood, including their basic housetraining and socialisation. Malbec and his brothers could live with dogs after successful meets at the centre, and cats with proper management in the home. They are energetic, playful puppies so would like active families who will take them on plenty of walks and adventures as they grow! They would also love a secure outdoor space where they can play and enjoy enrichment games to burn some of their puppy energy. As they are not used to being left alone, Malbec and his brothers would like someone to keep them company during the day until leaving time can be gradually built up. Photo: Dogs Trust Ballymena

8. Margot
Border Collie cross Margot is a gorgeous, sweet, fun loving dog who is looking for her forever home. She is settling well into her foster home and is happy to meet other dogs out and about, but staff believe that she will thrive as the only pet in the home as she prefers not to share her favourite things and would need a home with only adults. She enjoys getting out for walks in parks or forests where she is not near passing vehicles. Margot has some on going medical needs that do not require medication but this will need to be considered by her new family, and she would need a home where she wouldn't be allowed unsupervised access to stairs. The team at Ballymena are happy to discuss all of this with potential adopters. Photo: Dogs Trust Ballymena
