First timers Initiative at parkrun

Have you ever considered taking part in the hugly successful Portrush parkrun - but just haven’t got around to it.

Well, now is your chance.
Delay no more, put THIS Saturday, September 26 in your diary, and give it a try.

Whether you want to try running, jogging or walking, or maybe even just want to come along and see what all the fuss is about, East Strand beach is the place for you.

This will give you a chance to see that parkrun is not just for serious runners, its for everyone regardless of their ability.

To all you regulars, this is also an ideal opportunity to introduce someone to parkrun.

Last Saturday, parkrun celebrated its third anniverary, and in that time hundreds of runners have taken part.

The weekly event at the East Strand in Portrush, is a timed run, its not a race.

First timers are welcome every week, but next Saturday, will be all about the newbies.

All you have to do is register via this link, print off your barcode and come along: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/form/

Remember to bring your printed barcode if you want an official time in the results.

You can run if you don’t have a barcode, but you won’t get a time. And its all completely free- every week.

The run starts at 09.30, runners should meet at the Watersports Centre for a quick briefing beforehand.
