Free events for Family Week

Libraries NI invites you and your family to join the fun through a programme of free events, which will be held in local libraries, to mark National Family Week, from 30th May – 5th June 2011.

This year, National Family Week promises to be even bigger and better with a fun-filled week of activities, events, and competitions for the whole family to enjoy and Northern Ireland libraries are delighted to be part of these celebrations by inviting you and your family to enjoy these free events in Ballymoney Library:

Family Favourites Storytime – on Saturday 4th June, from 11.00am – 11.30am.

Ballymoney Library invites you to bring your requests for a favourite picture book into the library in advance and a selection of requests will be read during this event.

All libraries, public mobile and housebound mobile libraries are holding a Family Quiz, which is suitable for all ages to complete. The prize is a family ticket to see Bugsy Malone in the Grand Opera House Belfast at the end of July. One entry per household. Entries must be returned by 10th June and the draw will take place on 24th June.

National Family Week the biggest annual celebration of families and family life in the UK. The initiative aims to encourage families to spend more quality time together, and champions the benefits of a healthy, active and positive family life – and Libraries NI is keen to be part this great family initiative!
