Frostbit Boy to host Valentine quiz in Cookstown

Red roses and a candlelit dinner for two – that’s what most couples will be planning on doing this weekend for Valentines Day, but for four lucky couples their relationships will be put to the test in a Mr & Mrs competition, by none other than impressionist,

This Friday, February 13, Mulligans Bar, Cookstown will be hosting a Valentines treat like none other, with all proceeds from the event going towards Cancer Focus NI.

Whether you are loved up and excited for the most romantic weekend of the year, or drowning your single sorrows, this is the place to be!

Not only will you be entertained by compere, Ruairi McSorley, putting our local lovebirds to the test, there will also be music provided by the Mad Arabs.

The fundraiser is being held to raise money for Cancer Focus NI, a local charity which provides help to cancer sufferers and their families, as well as funding ground breaking research to lower the risk of cancer in the community.

Three staff members from Mulligans will be taking part in “Focus Fit”, a 6 week health and fitness challenge, beginning this coming March.

The programme, designed to create a change in people’s lives, is a fundraising activity from Cancer Focus to raise money for the charity.

There will also be some fantastic prizes up for grabs on the night, including donations from Killyhevlin Hotel, Greenvale Hotel, Trinity Photography, Burnavon Theatre, Serephina Boutique and many more! Owner, Owen Mulligan, said “We are really excited about the Mr & Mrs Fundraiser, it will be a hilarious night, especially with Ruari McSorley on board to host the competition!”

Doors will be opening at 7.30pm and the team will be charging just £5 in on the night, with any extra donations welcome.
