Fun Family Fridays at National Trust

This summer the National Trust is offering families extra value when they visit its North Coast sites.

On Friday, July 29 at Hezlett House costumed guided tours will take place every hour on the hour. The first will begin at 10am and the final tour will begin at 4pm. Tours will be family focused and there will be fun activities and games to complete as you explore through the house.

Additionally arts, crafts and games will be happening around the property which everyone can get involved in.

Or come along to Carrick-a-Rede on Friday, August 5 and learn about the famous bridge and solve the clues on your way down to it.

Cross the bridge and then take part in some bird watching with binoculars and a guide who will be there to help you identify some of these amazing sea birds. Finish the day by making your own clay fish to take home. You can even get your face painted. These extra activities will be on offer from 10am until 4pm.

Exploring Downhill will be so much fun on Friday, August 12 as you follow the treasure trail through the whole estate. Along the way you will have to carry out activities like bug hunts and tree rubbings. Get the right answer at the end of the trail and you can get your face painted.

Then why not spend some more time playing games through the ruins and in the walled garden. The extra activities will be available from 10am until 3pm, from the Lion’s Gate car park.

Normal admission rates apply and National Trust Members are free.
