Fundraising coffee morning at First Ballymena

A fundraiser on behalf of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust will be held in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church Halls on Saturday morning, October 3.

The charity was set up in 2013 by the Bell family following the untimely and sudden death of Kevin while staying in New York.

The trauma they suffered at that time of grief in organising repatriation for his body led them to set up the Trust in order to help those facing similar problems in the future.

So far the Trust has helped over 50 Northern Ireland families who have gone through the nightmare of a family member dying whilst abroad.

The Greer family suffered just such a tragedy earlier this year and the help they received from the fund was outstanding, not just financially but in terms of how Trust members took over the arrangements and procedures involved in repatriation.

In order to thank and support the Trust, several fund raising events are being held in the coming weeks, the first of which is a Coffee Morning at First Ballymena on Saturday arranged by Ann Greer. The morning will also feature a cake sale, CD and DVD stall and car wash.

It’s open to all and anyone wishing to provide items for sale or to make a monetary donation is asked to contact Ann Greer on 07545 482712.

Further events on behalf of the Trust will include a Quiz and a musical evening, both to be held in November.
