Fundraising unicyclist rolls up to Larne Barnardo's shop

Staff from Barnardo's shop in Larne recently welcomed Jonathan Whalley, a Barnardo's Director from East Anglia who is travelling 1000 miles on an electric unicycle across the UK and Ireland in aid of the children's charity.

He popped into the Larne shop on his way to catch the ferry to Scotland en route from Banbridge. The epic journey will take 12 days to complete involves 10-14 hours of standing up and riding each day averaging around 100 miles.

Jonathan said: “It was great to meet the staff at the Barnardo’s shop on Linn Road they gave me a warm welcome. I even bought a pink dog shaped foot warmer for my feet which I have called Linn from Larne!”
