St Columba’s PS Straw Parent Teachers Association organised an extremely enjoyable and memorable Autumn Ball.

The event marked the launch of the newly formed PTA and the redesigned school website. Also marked was the retirement of Mr Brian O’Kane from his role as Chairperson of the Board of Governors after 23 years of service.

Brian and new Chairperson Laurence O’ Kane were presented with gifts for their pivotal role in the building of the beautiful new premises for the school.

Retired Principals, Matt Trolan and Geraldine Regan joined present Principal Fiona Kennedy at the event representing 36 years of experience in total.

The event which included a very successful raffle and auction helped raise over £10,000 for school funds. Parents, friends and businesses from Ballinascreen and beyond were thanked for their overwhelming generosity and support.
