Get involved with National Trust’s ‘50 Things’

JOIN the National Trust at various sites across the North Coast this May bank holiday weekend to help them launch our fabulous ‘50 things’ campaign.

This is a list of challenges that we think all kids should have a bash at before they reach the grand old age of 11 ¾. For each completed activity, the participant will receive a sticker and is encouraged to affix a photo, draw a picture or stick a keepsake of their experience into the scrapbook provided. Begin the adventure this weekend!

Ride a horse at the Giant’s Causeway Monday, May 6 from 11am to 4pm. Visitor Centre admission applies/members free. Limited places available; first-come, first-served basis. See the coast as you’ve never seen it before...from the back of a horse.

A special event for the ‘50 things’ launch weekend, we’ve given over an enclosed section of the Runkerry Trail to Shean’s Horse Farm, Armoy, who will be facilitating pony-rides and Polaroid pictures. Not to be missed. ‘50 things’ scrapbooks will be available from the Rangers’ Station in the Visitor Centre on the day.

Bluebell walks will be held at Downhill Demesne and Hezlett House May 4-6 at 2pm and 4pm. Normal admission applies/ members free.

Come along for an afternoon stroll around the Bishop’s Gate gardens and see the bluebells in full bloom. The estate warden will highlight the latest developments around the wider demesne and show off the hidden gems in the gardens. ‘50 things’ scrapbooks can be requested from a ranger or staff member.

For more information on any of these events, please call 028 2073 1855 and choose option ‘2’ to speak with a member of staff.
