Glebeside Community Week starts Monday

Glebeside Community Association will be holding their annual community week commencing Monday 15th August to Saturday 20th August. As always a fun packed week of activities are planned. Details of the weeks activities include,

MONDAY 15TH AUGUST - Ladies & Juniors Horseshoe competitions at Belford Park Green starting at 7pm

TUESDAY 16TH AUGUST - Treasure Hunt leaving Community House at 7pm. Light Supper on return.

WEDNESDAY 17TH AUGUST - Litter Lift of the Glebeside Estate, followed by B-B-QUE. Everybody welcome. meet at the Community House at 7pm

THURSDAY 18TH AUGUST - Male & Female Pool & Darts Competitions 7pm at the Community House

FRIDAY 19TH AUGUST - Junior Pool & Darts Competitions 1pm at the Community House followed by the W11 Competition

Saturday 20th AUGUST - The last day as always is an action packed afternoon with the following events,

Tombola,FacePainting, Nail Painting, Various Inflatables. Musicial entertainment wilLbe provided by Fuse FM, Vow Accordion Band and Drumaheagles Flute Band Dancing display by Claire McDowell School of Dancing.

The Young at Heart Club will be running the Ulster Scots Cafe with Mrs Jean Thompson as always doing the baking.B-B-QUE will be in operation all afternoon. An U’12,s Football Competition will be held on Belford Park Green starting at 11am. Entries can be taken on the day at 10.30am at a cost of £3 per team.

Mens Horseshoe Competition will also be held on the green again entries on the day.PSNI will also be in attendance with the Police Motorbike and Van. Various stalls will also be in attendance.A Fancy Dress competition will be held for under 4’s, under 10’s and over 10’s Prizes will be awarded for first second and third in each category.Judging for te Fancy Dress will be at 1.30pm The afternoon will close with the prize giving at approximately 4.30pm.

Prizes will be presented by the Mayor and Mayoress. All the fun on the Saturday begins at 1pm unless otherwise stated. Glebeside Community Association would wish to thank Ballymoney Borough Council Festival, Fund and Awards For All and the International Fund For Ireland who have helped sponsor the weeks events.
