Good results at McAfee Auctions

THREE busy days viewing and a packed auction room, resutled in a busy sale with many good results throughout the evening at McAfee Auctions sale last.

Over 250 parties viewed the sale of approximately 450 lots of fine furnishings, and the function room at The Famous Grouse, Loughgall, where the sale was conducted by catalogue and screen, was almost filled to capacity.

 Top price of the sale was £1,375 which was relised for a canteen of cutlery followed by £1,100 for a rare silver small bowl, other prices for silver included embossed tankard £380, another £260, silver conter saucer £270, snuff boxes £220 and £140, silver coaster £230, silver salver £290, dish ring £580, spirit flask £230, silver mounted cowlie shell £680, circular tobacco box £280, silver mustard pots £340 and £150, set of four matched candlesticks £575, silver strawberry dish £200, silver photograph frames £150, £110 and £38, silver toast rack £165, whiskey tot £190, Charles II sifter spoon £190, punch ladle £145 etc.
