Great open night of antiques and art in Broughshane

A SPECIAL open night of antiques and art will be held at Braid Antiques, 122 Main Street, Broughshane, on Thursday, December 8.

The event will feature an appearance by Nigel Allison, a well known local landscape artist from Kells, whose admirers include former Irish President Mary McAleese, who was recently presented with a painting of Slemish by Nigel, to mark her official visit to Ballymena.

As well as Nigel’s paintings, there will also be a wide selection of antiques to view on the night, including antique oil lamps, clocks, barometers, small furniture, ruby glass, silver, jewellery, porcelain and pottery, including well-known names such as Moorcraft, Royal Worcester and Royal Doulton.

The open night is from 7.30-10pm and light refreshments will be served. Come along and enjoy Nigel’s work and meet the man in person.
