Great start for Gaelscoil an Chaistil

Gaelscoil an Chaistil has had a great start to the new academic year, welcoming new children and families into both Primary 1 and our statutory nursery unit for an enjoyable year of learning at the school.

Principal, Brídín Ní Dhonnghaile, explained: “We pride ourselves on providing an excellent standard of Gaelic medium education to the children within our care, ensuring that they transfer to post primary education with the academic and social benefits of being multilingual. Our school community continues to grow year on year and we are continually building our “child, parent, school” links to enhance the children’s learning and in recognition of the extremely important role parents and guardians play in their child’s development and education. We continue to work closely with Cross and Passion College and welcome pupils studying Gaelic at post primary into our school to experience Gaelic within an immersion setting”.

If you’re interested in a place for your child or in learning more about Gaelic medium education, call in to one of the school’s information sessions on Tuesday 27 November and take the opportunity to visit both the full time statutory nursery and morning playgroup session which is available for children from age 2 years and 10 months.

Alternatively, if the times don’t suit, please contact the school on 20768883 or at [email protected] to arrange a visit.
