Halloween celebrations at Portballintrae

PORTBALLINTRAE Residents’ Association will stage its tenth Annual Portballintrae Hallowe’en Festival.

On Wednesday, October 31 from 11am to 4pm there will be an arts and craft fair featuring local artisans with the highest quality jewellery, photos, cards and crafts.

Tea, coffee and tray bakes will be available for visitors.

Thursday, November 1 is set to be a real extravaganza. From 2pm until 4pm the annual Children’s Fancy Dress party takes place with face painting, goodies as well as two shows by the amazingly entertaining Babcock and Bobbins.

The spectacular Portballintrae Village Lantern Parade, led by the Stilt Walking Samba Band starts at 7pm with the Bayview Hotel fireworks over the Harbour at 8pm.

The hotel will have live music to follow and the Annual Portballintrae Residents’ Association Raffle is drawn at 10pm with proceeds going towards a defibrillator for the village.
