Halloween revealers in for a treat at City’s Twilight Night

Trick-or-treaters are in for a magical feast of Halloween thrills at the Twilight Night by Fairy Light celebrations in Wallace Park on Thursday, October 31 between 7-9pm.

Mythical performers, entertainers, dancers and musicians will provide Twilight thrills for kids and their grown-ups. In a swirl of sparkles and a fluttering of wings, good natured woodland pixies and fairies will pop from amongst the autumn splendour to weave enchanting tales.

One of Europe’s most celebrated folk ensembles, The Armagh Rhymers who recently performed at Glastonbury Music Festival will blend the art of mumming, poetry, music, drama, song and dance. While a beacon lighting and Lantern Parade will add shine to the evening of enchantment.

Delicious gourmet delights and spooky specialities will revive flagging Halloween spirits in the Artisan food fayre.

Dress to Impress

Grown-ups are encouraged to dress up their little pixies and pirates and don a disguise of their own as they embark on their evening of adventure which draws to a close with a fireworks finale at 8.40pm.

Entry to the park is by wristband only. All proceeds from the sale of the wristbands will be donated to the Mayoral Charity the Diabetic Unit at Lagan Valley Hospital. Priced at £1 each (max 6 per person), avoid tears and tantrums and ensure you purchase yours from Lagan Valley Leisureplex and Brook Activity Centre, 5 - 8pm on Thursday 24 October.

On Halloween night, revellers can access Wallace Park from the Belfast and Magheralave Road entrances. Parking restrictions will be in operation and visitors are advised to use public transport where possible and to park responsibly.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and Assistance Dogs only are permitted at this event.
