Helen Wilkinson and Clive Culbertson are appearing this Thursday 15th November at 8pm.

Helen is probably best known for her roles in Ballywillan Drama Group and Portrush Music Society shows.

Helen sang in various venues throughout the province with a three piece band before she met with Clive Culbertson who asked her to join his highly successful band, New Moon.

The friendship, advice and encouragement received from Clive has culminated in Helen releasing her debut album “Climbing on Rainbows.”

Clive Culbertson is known as one of the Causeway Coast’s best known singer songwriters, notching up notable successes in the late 70s and early 80s as a leader of the Irish Power Pop movement.

Clive had two solo hits in Japan, “Time to Kill,” in 1979 and “Kiss Me,” in 1981. He also released two solo singles that made the Top 40 in Germany in the mid 80s, “I Can’t Fight it,” and “Just a little bit.”

He then spent 1988 as bass player for Van Morrison, touring in the live band and playing on Van’s most successful album Avalon Sunset and the single, “Have I told you lately.”

Clive spent the 90s in New Moon playing Country Rock. Clive’s first album in 30 years “Still havin’ fun,” was released in September 2010 to great critical acclaim. His latest album, “Still Here; Still Smiling,” is being released soon and features a range of tracks from the slow easy listening to up beat pop.
