The latest UK House Price Index, for November 2020, says house prices in England are up 7.6 per cent in the year to November 2020, to an average of £266,742.
House price growth was strongest in Yorkshire and The Humber and London where prices increased by 9.7 per cent in the year to November 2020, to an average of £180,856, while the lowest annual growth was in the East of England, where prices increased by 4.8 per cent in the year to November 2020, to an average of £302,624.
The cheapest average price was in the North-East, at £140,248, while, unsurprisingly, London had the highest average price, at £513,997.
