The event saw an evening programme of ballet by students featuring enchanting Royal Academy of Dance grade work, historical dance and ballet scenes from ‘King and I’ and ‘Swan Lake’ followed by scintillating performances by renowned guest dancers Ciara Greenwood, Chee Shong Soon, Ruaidhri Maguire and Thomas Hawkes.

However, for anxious mums and dads the most memorable part of the show must have been seeing how well the juniors performed on stage.

Isabella Duncan (pictured) from Larne was one of the little stars who did so much to charm the audience and make the evening a resounding success.

The Laura Walker Ballet School trains children and young people in classical ballet for both graded and vocational examinations. Classes are held Monday - Saturday at various locations throughout Belfast.

The anniversary event was also a tribute to Maxine Graham and Ruth Adams, two very influential figures in Laura’s career as a ballet dancer, teacher and choreographer.
