Janine steps out for addicts

A GLENO woman hopes to raise over £200 for Addiction NI by taking part in the charity’s 10K run on March 11.

Janine Ross, who is 21, said: “I decided to take part in this challenge for Addiction NI because drugs and alcohol are becoming an increasing concern for me and my friends. I have had friends who have taken drugs and have then had accidents such as bad falls.

“I have wanted to take part in a fitness challenge for some time but this isn’t just about taking part, it’s about making a real difference to those who feel they have no way out. Addiction is such a pitiful and sad affliction so I know every step helps Addiction NI help those with drug and alcohol addictions and their families.”

The first Addiction NI Run takes place in Ormeau Park, Belfast.
